About Erica:
I am a psychotherapist who uses talk therapy, creative expression, and embodied techniques to help people navigate life’s messy challenges.
I work individually with adults, and lead groups for teens and children. I also work with parents to support them in understanding and responding to their kids’ behavior and fostering connection and emotional wellness. Most clients come to me hoping to decrease symptoms of anxiety or depression, overcome obstacles related to life transitions, or improve the quality of their relationships. I am an LGBTQ+ affirming therapist.
I am a clinical social worker (LCSW), drama therapist (RDT) and drama therapy educator (BCT). Drama therapy is the intentional use of dramatic play to achieve therapeutic goals. It involves movement and imagination. It is a creative outlet as well as a therapeutic process, and allows participants to connect with themselves and others through creative play.
Drama therapy helps with processing and tolerating difficult feelings, improving self awareness, and increasing self-confidence. It can also be useful in processing difficult or traumatic experiences.
I also offer clinical supervision for other therapists, and drama therapy training. Additionally, I teach at Emory University.
